Already have a Shay? A bit boring straight out of the box so why not add some 'cleaver bits' with our revised detail kit: add weight for even more tractive effort and bolt on a great working log winch!

Our recently revised 'Steam in the Bush' kit is from the workshops of our 'Bulahdelah Alum & Timber Company'. Ozsteam kits feature easy to follow instructions with photos and 1:1 plans.

With a removable 'tropical' roof, hardwood planked footplate, steam winch & gypsy, hand brake wheel and optional cab lighting, we supply all the parts with clear and detailed instructions as well as full size template plans.

Steam Winch/PTO Details:

We supply a superb die-cast single cylinder, vertical steam engine kit with additional detail parts. It is easily 'super-glued' or low temp soldered (pref) so feel free to mount it on the front of the Shay (as pictured or on the side. You can use the engine either as a PTO to power your remote bush mill or as a logging winch, or both!  Use your imagination...
