Balance and confidence is not just for beginners. Some of those big moving horses can be very hard to sit you know! Confidence and balance go hand in hand. As the beginner's balance grows, so does their confidence.
As the Olympic level Eventer's confidence grows and grows they get better balance, take the shorter options. For those advanced amonth you, you will see elements of right brained and left brained, visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning, combined with help from the sciences of neurolinguistic programming and sports psychology.
But, for a kid, or a new coach, it can be as easy as "which earring feels lower to the ground...left or right".
Which foot turns out the most..."left or right". Such simple ideas, but even at the highest level, has a huge affect on the horse.
