How to use bells:

Have the bells to your left. Then twist the yellow part closest to the bells clockwise (when you are facing the red part. The yellow should move towards the bells). Push the other yellow part (the one with the light stick holder) to the left and you should have the red part exposed. The red is clipped onto the rod and the yellow part (closest to bells) twisted anticlockwise to make sure the rod doesn't fall off.

Another thing, the direction of the light stick holder can be changed whilst the red part is exposed (parallel to rod or angled off).
