In all top quality cricket balls the alumtined leather is used. All these balls are made from the center(butt) portion of the leather.

These balls are stitched manually with 10/18 cotton mixed polyster special thread forming an flat seam.

The 5/10 waxed thread is used for bonded lock stitches.
