Description:
This is a fabulous late 20th Century "Knole House" Knoll Knolle Knowle settee / sofa / coudh of classic design inspired by the early 17th Century original at Knole House in Kent, England  The settee stands on its original turned bun feet rising over which is the beautiful gold / bronze floral upholstery with raised brass stud work.  The sofa has its traditional two drop-down ends, with original circular bolsters to the sides with original fitted cushions.  This is an original "6'6" Tiplady Knole Sofa" by "George Smith Limited".  A particularly good quality example of this classic settee having some later gold tassels to hold the ends in place.  As new this settee originally retails for around £7,000.00.

The settee dates from May 2001.

Condition:
The settee is in very good condition for its age, with just some minor wear to leading edges.  The upholstery is in very nice condition.
