This is a very nice early 19th century, 12 volume set of Edward Gibbons "History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire". The set is complete and has a portrait frontis and two (2) large folding maps of the Empire. 

The books have good sized margins and are clean internally.


The books are bound in a very pleasing full Roan binding which is contemporary with the date of publication, all of the bindings are holding firm, all labels are present. 
 

Condition Interally - the books are in very good condition for there age with very clean pages and just an occasional crease.
