1856 NEW HAVEN TO SEYMOUR DEM TOWN COMTTE LETTER COVER

Up for auction is a vintage letter with cover that was written in and mailed from New haven, Connecticut, and addressed to B. (Burton) W. Smith, Seymour, Ct.  This partially pre-printed letter was from the Democratic Town Committee of New Haven, advising Mr. Smith that there was an error in the first letter, similar to this one that was sent to him.  The error was concerning the date of the upcoming meeting.  Paper was signed by Ira Merwin, August 11, 1856.  This is a 4 page stationery piece that ha some light staining, o/w in very nice condition.  Cover has a damaged back flap
