Superb, vintage antique 1864 dated Civil War print, titled, in facsimile of his autograph, Geo H. Thomas , Likeness from a recent Photograph from Life, Johnson & Fry & Co, Publishers, New York, dated at bottom 1864. This is General George Henry Thomas , the "Rock of Chickamauga " , 'The Sledge of Nashville" , "Slow Trot Thomas. Thomas was a highly regared Civil War commander. The detail on the print is amazing, very finely detailed, and printed on good paper. The print is in excellent conditon, and would frame and display nicely. The size is 7" by 10.5". Rare. Winning bidder pays $2.75 shipping domestic, more foreign.
