1897 Choral Songbook - "The Ensign" published by the C.E. Leslie Publishing Co., 34 Monroe St., Chicago, Ill.

This is a rare original copy of a choir book designated for singing schools, musical conventions and high schools.  A number of old Victorian Era songs, a page of one is shown here.

Book is in good plus condition.  Hardboard/cardboard outside boards with linen tape binding.  Binding is still good and there is no smell or foxing.  Pages are slightly yellowed as one would expect from a 112 year old book.

Great collectible for the music teacher or collector of Victorian era paper ephemera.  There is a lovely delicate quality to the printing.
