Blue and white delight.
A very old part-set of Porcelain China by the renowned British manufacturers Empire Ware.
The pieces present in rich cobalt blues and whites featuring windmills and yachts from East Anglia .. which, of course, is what this set is called!
The pattern is in the flow blue style - not transferware... very Delft-like in appearance!
The company logo stamped underneath -on every piece, dates this set between 1925 and 1939. (see picture)
The part-set comprises 20 pieces. 1 large platter, 6 saucers, 10 side plates, 3 cups.
The large serving plate (22cm x 24cm) features scrolled handles either side. It has stained crazing in the centre (see picture) - but if displayed with other pieces in front, is still very lovely.
6 saucers (14 cm), - most good Vintage condition - one has a tiny pinhead size chip, one is slightly stained.
10 side plates (15 cm square). Most good Vintage shape - crazing on most and a tiny hairline fracture on one.
3 cups (6 cm high and 8 wide), all good Vintage shape.
Most pieces have crazing - commensurate with the Vintage age of this set - which is around 80 years old. But presents fantastically - for lovers of blue and white it's a spectacular collection. The blues are cobalt bright, vibrant and glossy.
