AN EXCELLENT COPY OF THIS 1929 UK XMAS 78 JINGLE BELLS FROM THE SHANNON QUARTETTE with Orchestra b/w THE QUILTING PARTY
The colourful James Pierpont was the author of "One Horse Open Sleigh" which was first published in 1857. In 1859, he reissued the song under a new name: "Jingle Bells." It was a "sleighing song" which was a popular topic of the time and had nothing to do with Christmas... "Jingle Bells" became the first song ... and first Christmas carol ... performed in outer space when the duo of Wally Schirra and Tom Stafford gave us a rendition on Dec. 16, 1965 during the flight of Gemini 6. This version of the song was originally record in the US in 1925 on Victor but wasn't released in the UK until 1929 ABOUT THIS RECORD:-

THE BOXES CAN TAKE UP TO 21 RECORDS, USUALLY FOR MAILING OVERSEAS, I RECOMMEND NO MORE THAN 7 IN A BOX, OTHERWISE IT GOES OVER THE AIRMAIL SMALL PACKET MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF 2Kgs WHICH CAUSES A LARGE HIKE IN POSTAL RATES.
