This is a 1937 commemorative medal, recording the Coronation of George VI and his Queen Elizabeth.

The coin pays tribute to the 50,000 Australians who participated in the struggle to maintain the independence of the Republic of Vietnam during the ten years of Australian involvement. The coin was designed by Vladimir Gottwald, featuring a stylised represntation of the Australian Vietnam Forces National Memorial in Canberra.
