Ken Magazine was a short-lived bi-weekly magazine published by Esquire in the late 1930's. It sold itself as red-blooded and he-man, intensely interested in world politics on the eve of World War II, and who more embodied the masculine image than Ernest Hemingway, a major contributor and erstwhile editor!

You will rarely see a copy of Ken offered for sale!

100+ big pages, the size of an old Life Magazine, and with the economics of the Esquire / Coronet publishing colossus behind it, this was magazine publishing at its best!

The magazine has a bit of reading wear to the cover, as seen in the scan, and an almost invisible moisture tan on the tip of a few pages. That's it! What a glorious magazine!

If a listing says that the magazine is from a bound volume, it is almost always an ex-library volume and will probably have the usual library markings. I try to find everything that's wrong with my items and report it, but they are very old, after all, and they will never be perfect.
