BEAUTIFUL SHABBY CHIC COUNTRY STYLE
HAND PAINTED FLORAL VASE
 
Circa late 1930's early 1940's
 
Beautiful vase has a cream and burnt orange/brown painted under glaze and hand painted design of bright wallflowers and a butterfly.
Brushstrokes and texture are clearly visible.
These vases were very popular during the 1930's and 1940's when these colours were the choice colours for interior furnishings.

16.5cm high x 8cm diameter
 
FAIR VINTAGE CONDITION
Some flaking in the paintwork which is consistent with a vase of this age and style. The painted effect was done directly onto the vase and not overglazed.
This gives the vase a lovely aged patina.
 
A wonderful addition to a Shabby Chic, Country or
Retro Vintage Decor.
