Based on a series of 13 lectures delivered at the University Of Melbourne in 1939 by Professor Anita M Muhl B.Sc., M.D.(Indiana) PH.D. (George Washington), an expert in psychiatry and criminology, looks at a range of crimes, from forgery, blackmail and counterfeiting, to sex crimes and murder, looks at modern techniques of investigation, reliability of testimony, the mental state of criminals, modern methods of treatment, and somewhat controversially, seems to find a correlation between epilepsy and criminal or aberrant behaviour.

Wear and and discolouration to cover, starting to split along the hinge, some smudging on endpapers, good condition.
