THE COLLECTION

Up for offer are a number of items from what must be one of the most comprehensive collections of racing results, ephemera, photos, posters, books and general items I have ever seen.

This first group has probably the more dersireable items but preference for any further sales will be given to winning bidders. 

Note for the most part it is melbourne centric for results.

You will see soon why it is so good so don't let them go!

Cleary after pasting the race reults for every day became either a little tiring, or due to being on active service during the war and having his wife cut out the information he just kept the cuttings rather than pasting them into the ledger.

The good part of this is there is more articles to read and photos showing. This set from 1946 covers the period of the mighty Bernborough, includes of course the full tragic details of Bernboroughs breaking down in the MacKinnon but also one of his greatest victories in the Newmarket. Also the photo guide of his Caulfield Cup where he was infamously forced out of the race by paid off jockeys.
