MNH / UHM = Mint NEVER Hinged / Unhinged Mint

(Stamps with full original undisturbed gum)

 

LHM = Lightly Hinged Mint, Fine

(Stamps with full gum and light (kiss) trace of hinge)

 

MH = Mint Hinged

(Stamps with full gum but have been hinged at least once)

 

MNG = Mint NO Gum

(Stamps with NO Gum)

 

Used = Stamps with good postmarks of the period and not in MNH or MH condition)

 

VFU = Very Fine Used

(Selected examples, well above average for period of issue)

 

FU = Fine Used

(Good collectable examples based upon the period of issue.  These will be acceptable to the majority of collectors.)

 

CTO = Cancelled to Order

 

FDC (First Day Cover) = Envelope with a set of stamps or stamp, postmarked on the first day of issue.

 

Cinderella = Generally are labels used for promotion of an event and not valid for postage.  Description and Condition are determined differently to postal stamps.
