This very special 1" flat back new marker, made by Ahead, commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1st major event won by the immortal Arnold Palmer - the 1954 US Amateur Championship. Arnold Palmer regarded his first title as the "turning point" of his career, hence the title of this very prestigious invitational event - The Turning Point Invitational, held at the home of his 1954 triumph - The Country Club of Detroit in 2004. Palmer's record says it all with his seven Majors Titles and he is one of the most respected and reveered golfers of all time. This rare, high quality marker, marking the 50th anniversary of the launching of one of the greatest careers in golf, should sit proudly in every collection.
