This auction is no doubt ONE OF A KIND.  This is now a cabinet storage unit, there is no remnants of a working fridge at all.

I create a number of different furniture & sculpture pieces and this one was made around 10 years ago.  This reworked fridge is versatile for what you could use it for.  I've had it as a clothes wardrobe and then CD/DVD storage unit positioned in the living room.

The original was a Kelvinator Fridge from mid 1950's (exact date is around 1954/55 from memory) which had one owner for over 40 years until I bought it.  At that time, it was used as a second fridge in a shed and I couldn't believe when the owner turned it on and it still worked.
Within a week of that, I had ripped the old engine and inards out.  You can see from the last photo when it was still white at the time. Now since this is one of the first Fridges made in Australia, it is solid and heavy!!

This is a once-off piece and as such will have variations in the paint finish, this is no factory churn-out.  Due to past relocations, there are some minor marks on the back and side, but I do not consider it an issue from a impact point of view.

Of course, due to the size and weight of the item, it is only for local pickup in Adelaide (located 10 mins from CBD).
