1960s lime & white Mod plastic small butter dish SALE!!

A 1960's era lime green butter dish base with a white lid bearing a cute retro floral transfer. On the back #980 is impressed and no maker's name and I think this is an early British piece.

A festive shade of lime, it's upper surface has usage marks and cuts as butter dishes often do, but not all over and it retains a gleaming sheen. The lid is pure white, fits perfectly over the base, seals well & bears medium to heavy usage marks to the top & very light on at the sides and underneath.

There is a cute embossed starburst inside under the lid & the transfer has an extra filmed seal over it to avoid damage. A great piece & butter will have to be trimmed slightly to fit in the dish as we are now metric and this was made during the pounds and ounces days.
