For sale is an extremely rare and highly desirable High Performance Mustang! This is just one of 472 K code (Hi-po) Mustangs produced and if not the only 1967 K code in Australia, would be the best! As per the Elite Marti report that goes with the car, it is a genuine 1 of 1 build with the colour, interior and options. It is one of just 205 Fastbacks made in 1967 with the "Hi-po" engine. Factory options that the car was ordered with are-
It was ground up rotisserie restored from 2001 - 2004 in the USA, starting as a genuine rust free body - all original sheet metal including front fenders, bonnet, boot! The car sat in a shed in Arizona for over 20 years and had never seen the harsh weather that alot of Mustangs endure. A comphrensive restoration album goes with the car and confirms its very clean and rust free condition prior to restoration. It has been restored to 100% factory specifications as per Marti report, including the extremely rare and working 8 track player. During my ownership I have added a genuine set of Ford 3 X 2 carburettors (not reproductions) with the genuine buddy bar high rise inlet manifold and are extremely rare and not cheap! The "Cobra 6V Induction Kit" was a $220 dealer option for K codes at the time and according to the factory brochures I have, added 15-20 hp over the standard single "Hi-po" carburettor. These were fully rebuilt in Australia and tuned for the car and maintenance free. The correct date coded 67 K code carburettor is wrapped up goes with the car, so you can turn the car back into a concours correct car in an afternoons work. In 2008 it was awarded a "Gold" award in a Mustang Club of America concours event in the "Trailored Concours class" and only lost 7 points in that event. I have the judging sheets for the event to confirm. Most of these point deductions have since been fixed. The side glass and rear window are original to the car and have very small scratches, and the eyebrow moulding on the boot is also original and 'slightly' marked. These are the only areas that have not been fixed where there were point deductions. Body and Paint, interior and undercarriage Paint is the highly desirable factory colour - Acapulco Blue. Interior 2 tone blue (standard) . The car has done 2500 miles since the restoration. I have done 2,000 of these. The paint and bodywork and interior are absolutely faultless and as close to as new condition as you can get, guaranteed. The pictures tell the story. Mechanical The genuine "Hi-po" engine was fully rebuilt at the time of the restoration. The restoration album that goes with the car has many pictures of the engine dismantled and confirms that the rare "Hipo" internals are present. The block has a K code VIN, built at the San Jose factory but not original to this car. The cam is the standard "Hi-po", solid lifter type. The transmission in the car at the moment is a genuine Mustang close ratio toploader, but is not the very rare RUG N tagged close ratio toploader that is correct for a 67 K code. The correct, VIN stamped, RUG N tagged toploader which has been fully rebuilt and yet to be used, goes with the car. The diff is the correct 3.50 ratio, 9 inch. Paperwork As mentioned a comphrensive restoration goes with the car. A framed elite Marti report, which includes a reproduction invoice, and production statistics. A verification letter from Ford USA, two sets of judging sheets. IThis is an investment quality, very rare and highly desirable high performance Mustang.
