Up for auction is my 1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom in very nice original condition, including the original case.
Although this guitar has suffered a crack below the headstock, (which has been expertly repaired -- see pic11) this is none-the-less a fine example of an all original Custom.
This is a great guitar, both from the superb feel and playability of the neck, and not least the classic sixties humbucker sound. Immense!!
Nothing quite matches these sixties customs and whoever gets this guitar will be totally made up. Guaranteed.
I'll let the pictures do the talking. She comes with the expected bruises and nicks and wear of a much played 40 year old guitar, but nothing ugly or brutal, just nicely played in.

She weighs in a tad over 9lbs, which is very much a lightweight for a Custom.
The neck is in the mid-range of Gibson necks, not chunky or slim, but with a definite 'D' profile.
The frets are in excellent shape with very little wear, which makes me think she may have been re-fretted at some time. You can usually tell by the binding, but these frets bed into the binding so neatly it's hard to tell. Frets are a medium size.
The pots are stamped 1376935, which is the 35th week of 1969.
The case is showing it's age and missing the bottom catch, but still pretty secure. Some scuffs on the edges, but the outer fabric is virtually 100% intact.
The back of the neck was re-finished after the repair, making the serial number difficult to read, but held to the light you can make it out.
