Up for auction: 2 Technics SL2000 Turntables 1 is in great working order, the other has a broken tone arm connection (see pictures). These turntables are rare and very hard to find now, they were one of the first Direct Drive turntables Technics ever made. If you look at the pictures, there is one picture that has two red circles outlining the damaged parts- the circle on the bottom left indicates a snapped stand for the tone arm to rest on- this stand is snapped on both turntables (meaning the top horizontal part has been broken- not the vertical connecting piece), but the arms still rest quite easily and stabily on both stands on both 'tables- depends if you're fussy or not. The second larger circle indicates the main problem with the broken turntable- one of the wires has broken (the white one) within the tone arm attachment. The cap that covers this connection is missing, therefore contributing to the reason the connection was damaged in the first place. You can get the broken one repaired or use it for parts for the working one- up to you. The working turntable runs fine- no problems at all. The second turntable still works, it can still feed sound to an amplifier, but needs repairs. All pitch adjusters and speed(33/45) controllers on both turntables work fine. Platters on both are not warped and Direct Drive motors on both work fine. Turntables do not come with any stylus' (needles), clear dust covers or platter slip mats. Prefer cash on pickup. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, due to the items being advertised elsewhere. Thanks for looking, happy bidding! PS- I am considering posting this item to the winning bidder, it will depend on where you live etc. I just haven't revised the postage details yet. |
