These lovely old Cane Baskets have been rescued from Nanna's clean up at the old dairy farm. Each has been freshly hand-painted white, and  they have been lightly hand-sanded to give an aged finish. I have added some shabby-style paper/fabric flowers to the oval basket for some pretty detail. These flowers have been wired securely to the caneware- not glued so wont fall off! The large, rounder basket features a natural stick handle which gives it a great rustic look. I have left this one plain- no flowers. Both these baskets would make great storage for cosmetics, candles, books etc and are spotlessly clean & ready for use. All in good sturdy condition.

All my vintage pieces are authentic & come with bumps and bruises that are acquired over the years (I will note anything significant). They are thoroughly sanded & then sealed with a high quality primer (Zinsser brand) to prevent any dark timber or shellac/stain bleeding into the finish. Next, I hand paint 2 coats of colour then lightly hand distress for a lovely aged & shabby look. I only use quality Nippon low-odour paints which are beautiful to work with & give a great rich finish.
