2 x Save our Sleep Comforters/ Security Blanket– Satineesnugs Yellow Duck

These are quite a reluctant sale… I always said I wanted 3 children so these were for that 'third baby’, but I have since decided that I feel complete with just 2, so these gorgeous comforters are up for sale. They are brand new with tags attached. Bought off the Tizzie Hall Save our Sleep website only 10 months ago, for $35.95 each. They are very popular - I was on a waiting list to receive these, as far as I know she is the only stockist of Baby GUND comforters in Australia. They are absolutely gorgeous, soft, cuddly yellow on one side, and a yellow satin other. The picture looks quite beige but it really is a lemon colour. In the corners are four ‘taggie’ style knots. They are real quality, I think a lot of the comforters out there are quite cheap and rubbishy, but these really stand out. There is a big ducks head, sweet beak and embroidered eyes, and 2 little arms. My son has the ‘frog’ the same design as this one and he loves sucking the arms!

I have used comforters with both of my children from birth as a recommendation I came across in many baby sleep books. Both my daughter now 2, and my son, 7 months love their special toys, and are both great at self settling, and putting themselves to sleep. I have many of my friends comment and I praise the comforter! You need at least two, kids become so attached to these that I cannot prise it off my daughter to wash… we wait until she is asleep and swap it over!!

In Tizzie Hall’s book, ‘Save our Sleep’ she states

“A comforter is what I class as a ‘good’ aid, something your baby uses to go to sleep but does not need your help with between sleep cycles. Every baby uses an aid of some sort to comfort himself with just before he goes to sleep but unless parents have introduced the aid themselves, they are usually unaware of what it is (with the exception of thumb sucking). An unintroduced comforter could be holding, rubbing or playing peek-a-boo with the sheets or blankets, or sometimes it could be a little more complicated. I have seen babies play with the bars in their cots just before falling asleep which can cause a problem when you ask them to fall asleep or anywhere away from their beloved cot bars. Another common comforter is playing with labels or tags on bedding or clothing.”
