Buxus sempervirens
The classical plant for hedging, formal gardens and topiary.
Each plant will be in its own 50 by 70 mm pot, will be multi branched and will be 10 to 15cm tall
THEY WILL HAVE WELL ESTABLISHED ROOTS AND BE READY TO PLANT STRAIGHT INTO YOUR GARDEN

This variety grows to over 1.5 metres but is easilly hedged in at any height from 20cm onwards.
A moderate growing shrub (30-40cm in 3 years) that is widely grown in the temperate parts of Australia. To grow in hotter areas it should be placed in shadier aspects (no afternoon sun). It is recognised as a great hedging variety grown in Australia. Able to withstand full sun to fair shade, it is frost tolerant, grows tight foliage ideal for shaping and is quite adaptable. It will grow in most soil types except for sandy and poorly drained. These soils need to be appropriately worked to ensure this plant achieves it's full potential. In order to create a tight hedge it is advisable to plant 5 plants per metre.
They can be planted further apart (eg a 50cm distance),
resulting in less density yet still retaining combined growth.

this plant has established itself as having
a great hedging history.
The new growth on this variety is a lime green.
This beautifully contrasts and complements its darker hues.
It can be trimmed regularly,
is not prone to woodiness,
has a root system that is not too aggressive,
has dense foliage, thrives in most soil conditons,
growing well in full sun to semi shade,
and is long living,
They can be left to grow to their full height
or easily maintained by regular pruning.
Also simple to grow in pots.
Screen, hedge, bonsai, topiar, a single
or multiple planting.
