This listing is for 200, open/split plastic bands for finches. Easy to put on, and take off. So easy to put on, that you can use a paper clip! I have used this type of band for several years, and prefer them.

These bands are not the thin, hard plastic kind that you may be familiar with. They are made of a soft, slightly thicker plastic that allows the band to be put on easily, and remove easily. Because of this, the band sits slightly off the leg allowing you to easily see the band on the bird in a large flight.

Can be used on most finches, including Gouldians,  Zebra, Stars, and some canaries. They should not be put on babies that are in the nest. You can however, place them on the babies just prior to fledging, and any time for adults

Rings are easy to apply here are some simple instructions: Start by forcing a band on the applicator tool or paper clip . Be sure the split opens up on the side with the trough, holding the finch firmly, extend the leg the band will be applied to. Place the band opening over the leg, the leg should now rest in the trough. Place a finger on the band and slip the tool away, leaving the band on the leg. Check the fit. The band should be loose on the leg, but not so loose that it will slip over the foot.
