2003 50th anniversary of coronation $20 proof bi-metal coin in jarrah case

 

The pure gold centerpiece of the coin depicts the four effigies of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II that have appeared on Australian legal tender coins since her Coronation. The pure silver surround bears a circular border depicting St Edwards Crown and the Order of the Garter Collar. 


The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark is also included in the reverse design. The coin is a legal tender under the Currency Act 1965 and is struck from 99.99% pure gold and 99.9% pure silver in proof like quality.

 

The coin is housed in a display case made of Jarrah and Marri woods and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
