The requirement of webcam pixel is different from DC and DV pixel.There are many webcams with 5.0M,5.2M,6.0M and 8.0M pixel on ebay,how to know the true and false of Pixel? First it should be known what is webcam pixel.Webcam pixel is the product of multiplication between the width of capture and the length of capture..Pixel has dynamic pixel and static pixel. The Static pixel is used to capture pictures, and the dynamic pixel is to capture video. The opened windows was divided into Picture window and Video Window. The video pixel of webcam is more important if it is used for video,and the picture pixel is more important if it is used to capture pictures you can find specific parameters through the following table or calculate by yourself:

Usually the highest pixels of webcam on ebay mean picture pixel . Any webcam said it is 5.0M,8.0M without any parameter is fake surely. Moreover those only capturing pictures with 640 x 480 , 1280 x 960 size actually is 300K or 1.3M webcam, but the seller said it is 5.0M,8.0M webcam, how was it calculated by those sellers? The title is 5.0M,8.0M webcam,but the descriptions is only 300K or 1.3M in fact.Even if it have parameter, you shall make clear how to get the picture or video with this parameter !
