For your consideration is a lovely 20 inch (51cm) reborn Luca by Elly Knoops which is part
of my own doll collection and is being offered for re-sale due to a change in direction.
She was given the name of Mary by her reborn artist Elisabeth Oates from 'Little Miracles of
Love Nursery' on her rebirth date of 29/5/2008.
She weighs approx. 5lbs 7oz's and she has brown eyes.
Her complexion was achieved using
'Genesis Heat Set Paints' and because Mary was reborn from the harder vinyl Luca kit, she
has been given a medium brown, fine mohair wig which has been attached with a strong adhesive so
it can be brushed and styled. Her eyelashes have also been attached with adhesive.
Mary does not appear to have any magnets inside so she is safe to be around electrical equipment or pacemakers.
Mary's body is a custom made jointed cloth body with 3/4 limbs. Very fine glass beads and soft fibrefill has been
used to achieve a realistic weight.
Mary is a collector's doll and not a play doll and therefore should be handled gently as you would a real baby. Also
children should be supervised when handling Mary as extreme pressure on the seams of her body could cause tearing
exposing the materials inside.
Mary comes with 2 brand new outfits:
A 7 piece white with red trim outfit made from a sheer, embroidered fabric with a lacey underskirt. The outfit also includes panties, a headhand,
a hair clip, crochet shoes, a little xmas teddy and a beaded bracelet which is for dolls only and not suitable for children under 3 years of age due to small parts.
A 5 piece pink knitted outfit comprising a matinee jacket, hat, shoes, lacey panties and a bracelet which
is also not suitable for children under 3 years old due to small parts.
In addition to the two outfits described above, Mary will take to her new home the following:
A white singlet and reborn size nappy.
A pink headband which can be added to the pink knitted outfit.
A pink snuggly, bunny rug
A pink brush and comb set.
Mary is being offered for bidders with Australian destinations only, as not being her creator I can't be sure the materials used in her
creation would be meet the regulations of other Countries.
As you will see by her re-birth date, Mary has been reborn from the older style Luca kit and her colouring, which is a more tawny complexion than the colouring of the later Luca's, represents the
trends at that point in time and appears darker on a dull cloudy day and lighter on a bright sunny day. The auction starting price plus free postage and handling within Australia, has been set taking this into consideration. Also please bear in mind that colours can appear slightly different on various computer monitors.
Mary is still a lovely reborn ready for display in her new outfits
Please ask any questions if there are any details I have missed.
