Please visit our About Me page for a full range of FAQ's and colours available. ( 'About me' icon located at the top of the page) Can hair be styled, like my normal hair? Yes! You can use a hair dryer, curling tongs and even hot irons, everything you would use in your own hair.
I suggest air drying your hair when possible and excessive heat will damage extensions as extensions don't produce natural oils like our own hair does. I suggest researching maintaining your hair extensions on the net including the best products to use to extend the life of extensions.
I suggestL’Oreal Kerastase or Wella SP Silver Saver Shampoo and treat in with a Revlon Colour Ball 3 min Treatment and finish with Mop Glisten Spray Gloss. These items can be purchase from any good Salon. Don’t be fooled by thinking you can use any salon shampoo as many contain protein which will strip the protective coating and cause the hair to feel brittle, dry and will damage the extensions. Heavy conditioners can also damage the hair.
Can you see them? A: Micro beads are the most discreet way to wear hair extensions. It's because the beads are the same colour as the hair and are so tiny in size. (Glue in's or wefts are much easier to see)
How do I apply / re-apply the Extensions? A: You can easily slid the micro bead back up the hair (how often you will need to do this depends on how fast your hair grows). Micro beads have between 2-5% fall out (like you natural hair) but the hair can be reused over and over. You can also reuse the micro beads several times. Depending on how well you treat your hair the longer it will last up to 4 months even longer.You can purchase additional micro beads from me at anytime for $0.05c each or Silicone micro beads for $0.10c each.
What other methods are available? Glue in's, Fusion and wefts. Details of methods;
'Wefts' (This method involves sewing the weft onto a braid which is right on the scalp. This method can be painful during application and can really damage your hair. You can always feel them in your head, so you always know there fake. It is also very easy to see, especially after a couple of weeks, as it loosens once it has grown out).
Glue in's 'Fusion' This method involves using hot glue to melt the glue into your hair. Or can be done with cold glue which sticks to your hair. Both methods are EXSTREMELY DAMAGING on your hair. They look better than the wefts but the glue gets dirty so they become obvious especially for Blondes. They take a long time to remove and is very painful, as you are pulling your own hair out!
How Many Extensions Are Required? Without seeing your hair it’s very hard to suggest an exact amount, here is a general guide of how many extensions are required.
50 – To add highlights, add minimal length or disguising hair damage. 100 – to add volume and some length to existing long hair "Half Head" 150/180 – to add length and volume to short hair 180/200+ – to add “Over the Top” volume and length or for very short hair wanting very long hair. "Full head"
