This 230L Rainwater/Greywater barrel has a brand new Reece1/2 inch garden tap fitted. The thread for the tap has been tapped into the 4mm plastic wall . It is ideal to store water for the garden. It features 1 bung hole in the centre of a 280mm screwtop lid. In a former life this drum held capers and I have cleaned and leak tested it, but still retains a smell of capers but this will go in time.

During Melbourne's recent rain, using these type of drum/ tanks I caught 700 litres of water off a 6m x 4m shed. I then used the water to wash clothes and  used the greywater to water the garden. This drum could also be used to catch the overflow from your rainwater tank 

These drums are great as they are portable when empty. I was told by a plumbing store that there is up to a 40 week wait on some large tanks.

You could also connect a pressure washer to the tap to wash cars etc.

The taps are installed without internal access and unlike  some drums, taps are installed at the bottom of the drum so that  water will gravitate through the tap.

These drums could be used to water the trees at your block of land. They are also currently UV stable.
