This unit will power your GPS 12V product from a standard office or home 110-240VAC wall socket. ll jack. It will also power many other devices that operate from a car 12 volt Car Lighter Plug (CLP) e.g. cell phone, camera, or Bluetooth device. With this unit you can setup a GPS, maintaining constant power while uploading map data (waypoint, routes, tracks etc) from a PC/Laptop. This will reduce your reliance on batteries to remain good is eliminated. It is extremely important for power to be constant when a GPS receives a firmware update. It is also important to check the GPS manufacturer’s website for such updates periodically. The unit is a universal power unit and operates between 110 and 240 volts AC from a domestic utility wall jack. It provides 12 volts at 650mA to a Car Lighter socket integrated into the casing. It is extremely lightweight and measures approx 2*2*1.75 inches (L*D*W) and is constructed from toughened black plastic. Electrical safety requirements are met by CE protection marking which prescribes design for safety in use.
