Hard to explain such a piece of art by words. A satisfaction guaranteed product for the lowest price available in the market.

A boken is a wooden Japanese sabre, usually the size of a katana. The word "boken" (or bokuto) means "wooden sword" in Japanese.

They are used for the practice of kendo to learn to make proper strokes and get accustomed to the curvature of a real blade, as well as to practice the kata (forms). The curvature of the boken blade allows to advantage more than a few kata and the presence of the tsuba helps learning how to block the opponent's sabre.

Historically, boken are as old as Japanese blades, and were used for the training of warriors. They are heavier than an actual blade, which emphasises the delicacy of the real blades.

This high quality brand new Wooden Bokken will make an excellent training weapon for learning martial arts.
