3 signed Holmegaard Naked Virgin Nøgen Jomfru whisky glasses 1973 |
This set of three Holmegaard glasses in the pattern Naked Virgin or in Danish Nøgen Jomfru is in very good condition.
The pattern is a copy of one of the first designs ever produced by Holmegaard in the early 1800's. The design was released in 1973 by Per Lutkin and these pieces are all signed to the base HG 3 for that year. Please see below.
Holmegaard Naked Virgin
The glasses are in the distinctive blue tinged clear glass Holmegaard produced in the 1970's. The glasses have a conical shape, an inverted tear drop shaped bubble within the stem and a large flat base.
The glasses are in the second size described as a whisky glass and measure 125mm tall. They are 65mm across the rim.
The glasses weigh around 700gms.
For North American users a handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches.
Please note this item is original and not a copy or modern day reproduction.
