30 COCKY'S CIRCLE LITTLE BKS EARLY READERS BULK~ 5 BNIP

For your consideration are these 30 Cocky's Circle Little Books  - Early Readers.

They are written in rhyme or jingle form, with catchy repetitive or cumulative text, perfect to read aloud to a young child who can then join in for the predictable parts in subsequent readings.  Some of them are quite simple rhymes with one or two lines of text per page. Some have from three to four lines of simple/repetitive text per page and others have slightly more text and occasionally a more complex narrative structure.

One way of using these books with young children would be to have fun reading the rhymes to them first, emphasising the parts of text that contain the language pattern and structure so that they can hear the rhythm and the tonal inflection. On susequent readings the child can be encouraged to join in and say the rhyming words or phrases of the repetitive text. After a number of joint readings, the reading could be shared, with the child encouraged to contribute the predictable parts of the text, using the illustrations as cues.  

Eventually, mutually enjoyed shared reading experiences such as these will hopefully motivate the child to read the text for him/herself with minimum adult support.

The books vary from very good to excellent condition. Five are brand new in a sealed package. None have any visible writing, stains or markings. Three originally had names on the inside front cover, ut these have been concealed under purchased name tag stickers. There are no rips. The books are all well-bound with no loose or missing pages. About half a dozen have some minor cover creasing. 

The books have all been published by Murdoch at various times during the last 15 or so years.

POSTAGE

I am willing to combine postage for multiple items purchased.

Items will be dispatched within 3 working days of receipt of payment. Whilst care will be taken to ensure that the package is securely wrapped to withstand normal handling and that it is correctly addressed, no responsibility will be accepted for goods that have been damaged or lost in the mail.

Pick-up from Athelstone, SA is welcome.

PAYMENT

I prefer to be paid either by bank transfer or by cash on pick-up for local buyers.

PayPal is accepted but not a preferred option.

Payment is expected within 4 days, unless prior arrangements have been negotiated during the course of the listing.

All sales are final. Refunds are given only if the item is faulty, not as described, and if it is returned within 7 days of the original delivery.

Refunds will only be for the final cost of the item, not for the costs of any postage. All postage costs are the buyers' responsibility. Refunds will not be issued for incorrect choices.
