GRASS PLANT LIST
----------------------------------------------- Blue fescue grass (Festuca glauca) which has the blue, green, grey foliage in contrast to the greens of the poa lab variety. They are also a bit shorter as they only grow to around 20-25cm when mature ---------------------------------------------

Mondo Grass Ophiopogen japonicus Green form Grows to approximately 15cm tall

Blue Mondo Grass Carex Glauca
Each plant will be established in its own 50 by 70mm Pot and will be ready to plant into your garden.
A low growing foliage-strap plant (full grown 8-12cm high) that is great for borders.
Great for covering over unsightly areas.
They are a evergreen/blue perennial that also beautifully fills gaps and crevices amongst stones, pavers, paths and fills in spaces in the garden.

Isolepis nodosa Club grass This variety has the distinct club shaped leather/orange flowers. They grow to around 80cm tall. They prefer a more temperate climate. In the hotter parts of Australia plant them out of the afternoon summer sun. Although they can handle dry times for quite a while, they dont mind having wet feet and are often planted around ponds, bogs, wet spots etc. ---------------------------------
Unicorn Plant Juncus spiralis
Great spiralled foliage structures.
Fast growing
This variety is very similar in plant requirements as the Isolepis above.
Will also grow in water. ----------------------------------

Scientific Name: Poa labillardierei
Extremely Tough Frost and drought resistant
Also suitable for coastal plantings
Great hardy grasses that are highly accepted as a ornamental garden plant, whether it is used as scattered plantings, formal rows or as a ground cover through massed plantings
Poa Lab Grows 30 to 80cm High.
Purple tinged plume like flower stems appearing in October to March,
Full sun to semi shade.
Very hardy and they will establish themselves quickly.

LIRIOPE muscari Originating in Asia, liriope grow in a wide range of soils as long as drainage is good. You can improve drainage by adding 10-15cm of topsoil to the area and then plant into that.
A great tall
(40-60cm0, evergreen groundcover that will have pale lavender to lilac flower spikes from late summer well into autumn.
Great for borders, mass plantings, ground covering, edging, rows, lawn substitute, pots, tubs, underplantings, shady gardens, etc
Grows well in full sun right through to shade.
Fairly stiff leaves 10-12mm wide 40 -60cm long.
Resists frost and periods of dry
They can handle full sun to quite shady which sees them grown in many areas other plants wont survive. EG Southern aspects that are all shade in winter and then get tthe full sun in Summer.
Dianella
We normally have at least 1-2 types of this blue flowering native Grass.
They are hardy and will grow in full sun to quite shady positions.
Their flowers are blue with yellow stamens. -----------------------------------------
Uncinia uncinata Firedance
This a purple/red foliaged strap like variety of ornamental grass that will grow to approximately 20cm tall.
Full sun to semi shade.
Frost hardy. -------------------------------------
New Zealand Flax Phormium tenax Both Purple and Green Forms
The clearly defined foliage of these plants make them hardy and worth while garden additions. Very hardy, low maintenance, adaptable in containers (where they will grow for years) or garden plantings that also add long lasting colour and form to flower arrangements
Grow in full sun to semi-shade
They will grow to around 1 to 1.5 metres high. --------------------------------------------------
