33 PLANT FROG POND SELECTION
From Top Left
1 x Juvenile (roots established) dwarf Papyrus plant.
This is a vigorous growing plant that will quickly form a thicket. Whenever a plant head comes in contact with moisture it will shoot roots to form yet another plant. An ideal plant for providing a secure hide for your frog.
Middle Top:
12 x Bacopa Carolinus plants. This fleshy colourful plant develops small blue flowers. It spreads by runners and delights in having its feet in water. You will receive a bunch of 12 cuttings, usually with started roots, they have a 100% strike rate.
Top Right:
12 x Ludwigia Palustris. This hardy plant is shown in the picture in its emerse form. When the fronds enter the water they change colour to a deep magenta. You will receive a bunch of 12 cuttings, usually with started roots, they have a 100% strike rate.
Middle Left;
1 x Plantain:
it needs a shallow water or swamplike condition. Lovely delicate flowers as shown in the picture give that extra splash of colour to your pond edge.
Middle center:
1 x Juvenile (roots established) Dwarf Madagasscan Umbrella Plant. This beautiful plant is a must for any pondscape. It will spread its umbrellas and provide shade and seclusion for your pet. When it outgrows your enclosure, simply cut off some of the heads, place them in water and they will sprout and reproduce another juvenile plant. The oversized plant can then be used for garden pond or wet area decoration.
Middle right:
1 x Lucky Bamboo Plant. This is an extremely versatile plant that prefers to live in moist humid conditons. Again it is highly decorative and will grow up to provide seclusion and shade, and add variety to your landscaping.
Bottom Left:
2 x Oenanthe javanica This is an extremely interesting plant. It is known as ‘Flamingo Plant’ it is actually a variegated form of Parsely that is often seen trimmed with flamingo pink. A water lover that will live happily on the pond edge.
Bottom Middle:
2 x Mazus Pumilio. Another interesting plant. A low growing
Specimen that is quite soft leafed if in humid wet conditions but has the ability to withstand drier climates. When in a pond situation it is a soft light green plant which is great for the pond edge. In dry climes it becomes quite dark and crisp.
1 x Arrowhead.
The arrowhead shown is immerse form. As it matures it will poke its head above water level and form an arrow shapped leaf on a long stem. Frogs (the small ones we have here) are often found in these leaves.
