3rd Armored Spearhead Division Uniform Coat THIRD HERD

Very nice uniform coat for a Private First Class in the 3rd Armored Spearhead Division.

The coat is complete with all gold buttons, PFC sleeve rank chevrons, 3rd Armored Spearhead Division unit sleeve patch and brass US collar insignia. There are 3 tags in the coat. Size is 37 Long. The inside tags read in part: COAT, MAN’S, POLYESTER/WOOL, TROPICAL, ARMY GREEN 344 and is DLA code dated 1982. Very nice 3rd Armored Coat.

The 3rd Armored Division was an Armored division of the United States Army. Sometimes colloquially referred to within the U.S. Army as the "Third Herd", was an armored division of the United States Army. The division was first activated in 1941, and was a key participant in the European Theater of World War II. The division was stationed in Germany for much of the Cold War, and participated in the Persian Gulf War. Shortly after the Gulf War, the division was deactivated as part of a general drawing down of forces at the end of the Cold War. As of 2009 its strength is officially zero, but it is not inactive.

Condition is excellent on the coat. Colors are bright and cloth is solid. It is clean and pressed properly. I see no stains, holes, rips or repairs. Comes from a SMOKE-FREE home. Please see the photos below, view my feedback and bid with confidence!
