    MAJOR BENEFITS OF HSS M2AL TOOLS

    Toughness
    HSS with a certain percentage of aluminum alloy in the steel improves the hardness and toughness of the tool as well as the lubrication properties. M2AL has high hot hardness and heat resistance and maintain excellent cutting up to 550 degree C.
    The toughness of  HSS M2AL prolongs the tool life of square endmills and at the same time its high compression strength makes the cutters rigid enough to be used as slot drills.These cutters are very tough, with a much higher resistance to shock than carbide tools. Therefore they are more forgiving in applications where machining conditions are not ideal. Manually operated milling machines with low horsepower and overall poor rigidity should be tooled with HSS at least for finishing cuts where the spring effect of HSS tool bits ensures a better surface finish than carbide cutters would do.

    Re-Sharpen
    HSS tool bits are easier to grind than carbide cutters. Due to lower hardness they will not fracture so easily and can be resharpened using inexpensive grinding equipment.
