Stunning high-gloss porcelain 'Collie' / 'Sheltie' dog figurine (the same breed as 'Lassie' :) by the famous 'Cortendorf, W. Germany'! Superior quality and design, this beautiful dog figurine carries the Cortendorf 'Western Germany' stamp along with the impressed number '2172' to his side /underside! He is in absolute pristine (MINT!) condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches, damage or crazing! Beautiful delicate features and superb paint work with lighter and darker tonings, lovely bright colors and just the most wonderful true-to-breed 'Collie' expression! This dog is a true stunner with a superior high-gloss glaze very similar to that of 'Beswick', 'Royal Doulton', 'Royal Worcester', 'Heredities', 'Sylvac', 'Goldscheider' or 'Metzler & Ortloff' pieces! (Any white marks / reflections are just camera glare :) A very high-quality piece, this gorgeous figurine is slightly heavier than most regular figurines so feels very nice to handle :) A true collectors item!
