Here are 5 rolls of one of KODAK's most famous classic black and white negative films---KODAK TMAX 400 (NEW TYPE) --- in 120 SIZE medium format which are separately PACKAGED IN FOIL WRAPPING as part of an unopened 5 roll propack each box showing the EXACT expiry date of: 02/2011 so you can be sure of the FRESHNESS and QUALITY of each roll of film.
This film is a high speed black and white negative film with a speed of 400 ISO with extremely fine grain yielding "outstanding sharpness" in the resulting negatives. Kodak now claim that this film is the FINEST GRAIN & SHARPEST black & white 400 ISO speed negative film available today from any manufacturer (this includes Ilford & Fuji) with an RMS grain measurement of RMS: 10 which is extremely fine grain! It is especially useful for detailed subjects when you need maximum image quality. "This film features high speed (400 ISO in most developers), EXTREMELY HIGH SHARPNESS, EXTREMELY FINE GRAIN and VERY HIGH RESOLVING POWER allowing a VERY HIGH DEGREE OF ENLARGEMENT . You can also use TMAX 400 to produce HIGH QUALITY BLACK & WHITE SLIDES from CAMERA ORIGINAL EXPOSURES, continuous tone photographs, drawings, artwork and radiographs" when a slight alteration to normal black & white processing is used. You can also make copy negatives from colour or black & white negatives, make duplicate black & white slides or MAKE BLACK & WHITE SLIDES from COLOUR SLIDES." Kodak have just improved the quality of all their films with new manufacturing facilities in USA but as far as black & white films are concerned they have upgraded the TMAX range of black & white films to the highest quality available in any black & white 100 or 400 ISO film currently made (surpassing those films made by Ilford, Fuji & even Kodak TRI X films). This, of course, is a matter of individual choice as to which type of black & white film is suitable for each photographer but the current specifications of the Kodak TMAX range do surpass any other 100 or 400 ISO black & white films manufactured today even including the Kodak TRI X films. Kodak use T-GRAIN emulsion that reshapes pebble like crystals into a tabular form with more surface to catch light allowing films with extremely fine grain to be made faster. These films also feature an expanded exposure latitude allowing greater "forgiveness" with over exposure and under exposure errors allowing quality prints to be made from moderately over or under exposed negatives. IN SHORT: This Kodak TMAX 400 (NEW TYPE) film is now the finest grain 400 ISO black & white flm (from any manufacturer) with extreme sharpness , very wide exposure latitude, true 400 ISO speed plus extreme versatility with the film able to be pushed to 1600 ISO with very little if any loss of quality. You can even make black & white slides from colour or black & white negatives or colour slides plus duplicate black & white negatives from either colour or black & white negatives. A truly versatile, extremely high quality film. These films have been refrigerated since purchase and are FRESH with each film being individually foil wrapped as part of an unopened 5 roll propack with each film box showing the EXACT expiry date of: 02/2011.
