These open leg bands can be attached to the leg of an adult or baby bird The metal expanding tool is slid inside to open the band enough to safely attach it to the bird's leg. THE BAND EXPANDING APPLICATION TOOL IS INCLUDED WITH YOUR PURCHASE.
The bands are 1/8" tall and 1/8" in diameter. There are no letters or numbers on these finch leg bands.
These bands are not meant to identify the breeder of the birds, because they can be put on adult birds The open bands are a great tool to identify adult birds that you are breeding, so you can tell them apart. They are also a great record keeping tool concerning the history of which of your birds have raised chicks successfully.
