There are six layers that make up the booster.  The booster is super absorbent yet very compact.

High absorption to mass ratio as our fabric is lightweight yet very absorbent.

Unlike a lot of cloth boosters, our Cotton Jersey fabric does not ball and is therefore not harsh on baby's skin.  Other fabrics such as flannelette, fleece and terry toweling (that are typically used for cloth nappies) will ball and become harsh with time.

Our cloth boosters are a cinch to use and take the headache out of using cloth nappies.  The back and legs are elasticised to keep in the gunk.  Velcro is used for easy fastening.

FAQs

What type of accessories does The Happy Kind make and are they necessary?

1.  Waterproof pilchers. 

A pilcher is a waterproof cover, designed to fit over a Classic Cotton Nappy.

If you have purchased a Classic Cotton Nappy, you will also need to use a pilcher over the top of the nappy to stop the wee seeping into baby’s clothes.

2. Boosters.

Layers of fabric that are made into a pad, to be placed inside the nappy.  They provide extra absorption for the nappies.  You will need to boost the nappy so that it provides enough absorbency for the amount of time baby is in the nappy.  You will definitely need to boost the nappy overnight, on long car trips and as baby grows and absorption needs increase.

 Boosters also makes the cleaning of the nappy easier.  The booster catches most of baby’s big business, so you can then shake off the excess into the toilet before putting the booster and the nappy into the wash.

What are liners and are they necessary?

Liners are purchased from the supermarket and must be thrown out after one use.  A liner consists of a thin layer of fiber that is designed to catch the big business before it reaches the nappy. 

 Liners are only beneficial if you are using a fitted cloth nappy without a booster because if you are using a booster, the booster will catch the big business anyway.  Liners are expensive and will contribute to land fill as they are one use items, so the better option is to use a booster.

What are the washing instructions and how many times should I wash the nappy before use?

Before soaking or putting the nappies in the wash, do up the velcro and turn the nappy inside out.  This will help to prevent the velcro to sticking to other things.

As the nappies are made of cotton, it is advisable to wash them in “cold” or “cold warm” water, so that they do not shrink.

Wash the nappies two to three times before use to maximise the absorbency.  It is best to wash then dry them and repeat two times.

How much is shipping and when will the nappies be received? 

Postage is $10 per 18 nappies or part thereof.

Postage for 6 nappies = $10

Postage for 10 nappies = $10

Postage for 18 nappies = $10

If you are purchasing multiple packs, please contact us once you have won the auctions you would like and then we will send you an invoice for combined postage.

Generally, your nappies will be dispatched within 3 to 5 working days after cleared payment.  You will receive your nappies within 4 to 7 working days after cleared payment.  Please understand that the nappies are individually made in Australia, you will be rewarded with a great product.

What is the return policy?

Only unwashed and unused nappies can be exchanged for size only.  The buyer is responsible for postage both to and from The Happy Kind.  Please note that due to health and safety regulations, nappies that have been either washed or worn cannot be returned.
