This black and white photograph was taken by the founder of Elephant Nature Park, Sangduen Chailert, better known as Lek. Lek often has her camera with her at the park and in this photo has captured Tong Tae with his mother, Mae Tong Dee's trunk gently touching his face. The photograph is framed with beige card and is signed by Lek on the back.

Elephant Nature Park is a sanctuary for rescued elephant, situated in the Mae Taeng valley near Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. There are currently over 30 elephants residing at the park, together with the many dogs, cats cows and water buffalo that have found sanctuary there over the years. At the park the elephants are free to roam and forage  during the day and are not made to work. As well as providing a safe refuge for elephants and other animals, Elephant Nature Park works to educate people about the plight of the endangered Asian elephant and advocate their rights.

The photograph will be sent between protective boards to ensure safe arrival. Below the two black & white photographs is a photograph of Lek.
