7x4 box Trailer HQ GTS Wheels Dura-Torque Axle Gatton.

This 7x4 trailer with 350mm high sides was originally bought  in 1985 from Tuza - the company who mainly manufacture those high quality horse floats you see from time to time.

A full 12 months rego (just paid for) & transfer papers are here ready to go.

Suspension & axle is Dura torque - which is an up market system more commonly used on off road campervans etc. Basically bullet proof with never any dramas fully loaded on or off road.

Trailer comes complete with one set of ladder racks, one set of racks for carting logs or posts, one set of racks for carrying flat sheet products & a 1200mm high mesh headboard for cartage of fridges or boxes etc. Almost a rack for every job except for a full cage.

Last week the trailer was upgraded with a complete new wiring harness, rear tail lights (Bayonet bulb type), steel 7 pin round plug & a 2000kg quick release coupling with locking tab for a padlock & a quick respray on top in charcoal hammertone to brighten it up again & cover the scratches.

Draw bar was extended some years back to 1500mm long (using 65mm x 4mm wall RHS) to make for easier reversing & carrying longer lengths. Plenty of room for a tool box however.

The GTS wheels are in good nick & come complete with stainless dress rims off an XE Falcon from memory. (Probably a smart move for the buyer to put standard wheels on it & sell them off) Tyres are 195x14 Firestone's & never had a problem with them such as losing air or flats. Tubeless spare goes flat after a month though - so may need reseating on the rim as I can't find any holes.

Plenty of dents on the floor from carrying concrete rubble & some on the top & sides. No bad rust problems experienced as it's generally kept in a shed.

The trailer has no problems carrying a full load of sand or gravel so I suspect the axle may be rated 1.5 ton as it hardly flinches. Tyres have never contacted the guards.

This is by no means a new trailer but is actually quite well made, being very light to tow, handles weight no problems & still looks presentable when on the road.

Pick up is from Gatton QLD. However for a carton of Tooheys stubbies I can drop it off to you in a about two weeks time on my next trip down to Gosford NSW if you live somewhere between here & there.

Anyhow, enough said - you know what to do as this box trailer has been replaced with a flat deck so off it goes to a new home. Cheers John.
