Here we go! Plenty more picture, just ask! Seems to be worth more in parts, but seeing that its READY ASSEMBLED AND DRIVABLE - WOW! Its immaculate. IF YOU WANT TO BID 6 to 8 thousand, GREAT! >>> LOOK ELSEWHERE AND PICK UP A RUST BUCKET AND START THE PROJECT YOURSELF. If your lucky you could have half a good a car as this for the money in a couple years. NO TYRE KICKERS/ TIME WASTERS and PEOPLE WHO CAN HOLD APPOINTMENT TIMES. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN LOSING HOURS OF WEEKEND WAITING AROUND FOR YOU especially when you say you're gonna be here at said time. This car was initially for me to keep forever. However due to circumstances she needs to go. From what understand I am the 3rd owner, but its the first time it has been completely overhauled. Runs dreamy once warmed up in Winter (as always)/ Excellent in Summer. No leaks. Front end all straight - brakes evenly straight with no pull. Alignment is excellent. Runs smooth at/ up to 110km/h. Built as a cruiser not a bruiser. Ready for V8 set up, with heavy duty shocks to front. It is currently running on the 6 cylinder with extractors. Runs on a six but the front end suspension has been set up with heavy duty suspension to accommodate a V8. An original WB panno with a Statesman front end, yet older chromes rear indicators.... so tasty,,, Great balance of chrome to black.... Complete with front wide rubber WB Statesman bumper and over-rider to front license plate. The full black GTS flutes (after market professionally installed - based on real GTS guards) give it a real nice black heavy balance to the front (Thanks painting crew) Now you can imagine how many cars have been overhauled to produce more power, and how many of these are still on the road? This has been restored for cruising from a commercial "Torquay Sand" colour (that dreary green/grey) Running so smooth on a 202 blue 6 cylinder and the next step up is the 253 (read on) Save yourself the time and expense. OTHERWISE HAVE A LOOK SEE AROUND AT OTHER ITEMS ELSEWHERE AND START YOUR OWN PROJECT. Tailgail is pneumatic and has been set up flat horizontal when top tailgate is open for when cruising (see photos). Windows are all matching really dark tint. All windows/ rubbers removed for body work, rubbers refurished and reinstalled professionally. Not a drop of silicone and even the locking strips match up evenly. One key fits all - Ignition, doors AND tailgate! Pure Magic and a lotta luck. Worth it just for this alone..... The security is immobiliser with the programmable dongle type where you put it in and it stops flashing to start. Good visible deterrent. (Routed at 2 secret points.) Owners manual available. All work on it has been done by professionals (using the old school methods - eg. no major bog) All references for work available. All phone numbers and contacts for professional repairs available. Receipts for 90%. THIS CAR IS EFFECTIVELY AS RUST FREE AS ANY SANE PERSON CAN CLAIM. The next body service should be the removal of back windows in 2 years and clean up the rubbers and reinstall the windows. (This service should be every 2 years for P Vans) Otherwise the body will stay right there, as long as there are no accidents! The front end has been off and ALL of it has been rubbed back - not sandblasted this one. The 2 ideas about preparing the body. First you hand rub back the lot and replace with steel where there's rust. As in this car. OR you sandblast the shell (very carefully as its too easy to damage the panels in these true cars) and replace all the bits. I went with the first idea on this car because it had such a good base structure to it. CALL ME ABOUT ANY ITEM OF THIS CAR. Of course there's still lots to do as far your your dream budget or dream car can go. SALE IS - AS IS> NO ROADWORTHY OR REGO>> BUT CURRENT HAS REGISTRATION AND GAS CERTIFICATES etc> So finalise it with: 1.. Registered as a 3 seater but stick some buckets into it. As is cost $850 - Interior refurb - Benchie and 2x ORIGINAL door trims to match - done in slightly darker brown/ silver trim. Elbow rests in great nick. Carpet Red - professionally installed, with rear industrial carpet red Bench seat/ kick boards and side trims all match same chocolate brown slightly darker than dash and roof lining. Door scuff plates are real metal chrome from a Caprice. (JUST ASK FOR PICS) Door rubbers all replaced, where rubbers were still in good nick they have been refurbished otherwise replaced. Your cost to replace with buckets. I would be interested in keeping the benchie if you don't want it for a further price reduction. (REDUCE BY $850) 2. Decals to your specs (your cost) 3. Stereo to your specs/ antennae preset on left front guard (your cost). 4. Needs another trip to Auto electrician to sort out headlights - auto electrician owes the car to reinstall the gear indicator above the steering wheel (spare available) Most probably fuses, I'll check that again soon but electrically she runs great. Petrol side tuned - Spark plugs gaps done and petrol side timed and running a real treat) Runs great on gas and petrol. (Your cost - minus the amount the auto elecky owes on the car, he said he'd honour the repairs to this item) The speedo and temp gauge are perfect. Had the temp gauge re-callibrated properly and now it never goes above the half way mark which shows its reading true (Once we found the right aftermarket sensor). Drops down to 1/3 when on the freeway but in city traffic goes up to the half. Beautiful. Thermosta is standard 180. Need to have the fuel gauges checked by auto elecky too. Your cost. 5. Hood relined if you really want - trim is in decent nick but you could do it again and fix the cabin light. Your cost. 6. Polishing to your hearts content as the paint is no longer "green". 7. The CRAGAR mags on in I really want to keep because they are the old school stock, but in this case, you can have them. There are a full set of stock rims (with Panther 195's with very decent treads) for you if you need to keep it rolling until its gets your rims on it. If you take the stock rims and not the Cragars, a further price reduction is OK. Reduce by $500. 8. Could use some new retractable seat belts. Your cost. 9. The back bedroom is rust free and simply painted black, with the inside side panels fitted with stainless screws. You could dream up whatever you want in there....
