In 1959, golf club design was changed forever when Karsten Solheim introduced the concept of heel-toe weighting in his original 1-A putter (1A A1 A-1). In 1966, he took it to the next level with the launch of the Anser (the name was suggested by his wife when they had trouble fitting 'answer' onto the toe of the club), the world's all-time best-selling putter.

The genius of this man is reflected in the drawings he submitted to the United States Patent Office for these inventions:

• The July 3, 1962 Patent for a Golf Club with Heel-Toe Weighting (model 1-A "PING")
• The March 21, 1967 Design Patent for the Slotted PING Scottsdale Anser Putter

This auction is for a set of two reproduction prints. Each will be provided on artist quality, acid-free, 60-pound parchment style paper as shown above.

Prints are 8.5" by 11.0" (21.6 by 27.9 cm) in size and are ready to frame for display. 

They are packaged in archive-safe, acid-free sleeves and shipped flat in a stiffened mailer to ensure safe arrival.
