We have constructed this quilt in a walled (baffled) and channeled construction, to allow for winter and summer adjustment for all-year-round comfort. Channeled construction allows you to move the filling up and down the quilt as you need, without the filling moving by itself, giving you the warmth you want. Walled (baffled) allows for an even spread of filling so there are no cold spots.

WARNING when buying a down quilt DO NOT buy boxed cassette style quilts in most cases the filling DOES move, this includes true baffle boxed. The filling will gravitate to the bottom row of squares through a small gap, once the filling accumulates at the bottom you CANNOT get the filling back up to the top and middle, this leaves you with nothing over the top of you to keep you warm. Having been in the industry not only making quilts but also cleaning quilts for over 17 years we have seen many styles of quilting. The filling in cassette boxed quilts can move within 3 months of usage. When looking for a quilt on ebay the picture will not show this gap clearly and you really need to know what to look for.

When purchasing a quilt you need to consider the casing, the filling and the blanket warmth.

SIZE: Queen size 210cm wide by 210cm long or if you want the king size 240cm x 210cm at no extra cost.

FILL WEIGHT: 1200 grams in king or 1000 grams in queen for ideal warmth and all year use. Extra warmth is $40 extra per blanket.

BLANKET WARMTH: made to a 4 blanket warmth the average for most Australian cities. Also perfect for the European and U.S winters. Great for those nights when it gets below zero.

FILL TYPE: 95% Hungarian goose down/5% goose feather so it looks great on the bed. Hungarian goose down along with the Polish goose downs are  considered the best it the world, with a stronger fibre so it lasts longer and a larger cluster so it retains warmth better than any other down. No risk of any smell like some of the Chinese products.

HYPO-ALLERGY FREE: means all of the impurities have been removed allowing for a comfortable nights sleep. Processed to the very high European standards.

CASE TYPE: 100% cotton japara walled (baffled) and channeled which allows easy adjustment for winter and summer use, also allowing filling to be added or removed if necessary should it require it.

THREAD COUNT: 350 very high quality ensuring no feathers escape from it, this gives it great durability and makes it very soft, unlike some cheap Chinese imports it wont be noisy.

AUSTRALIAN MADE: Ensures you are getting an excellent quality product as-well as supporting the Australian economy.

The right quilt should last a lifetime as long as it is looked after and rejuvenated every 2-3 years. Do not dry clean a feather and down quilt as the chemicals used help break down the filling much quicker, as they dry out the natural oils in the feather and down.
