Most student horns, are simply entry level student instruments, and have very little character or range. In contrast, the Largo Horn, is rich in character, tone and ability. This Trumpet, acts and sounds like a studio level instrument. This means most importantly, that it plays in tune, which is rather critical when you are trying to play along side other instruments. Plus it is mechanically smooth and precise.

With all this in mind, A Great deal of effort has been taken by the manufacturer of this fine Trumpet, to produce an instrument that is both affordable, and musically satisfying to play. Intonation and functionality of use, ( comfortability and ease to play ), have been most important in the development of this fine horn. Monel Pistons

The use of monel valves and pistons is a standard feature of all Largo trumpets, and insures you will get many years of smooth playing. As valves are the heart of the trumpet, we have decided to go with the best and insist on Monel valves. What are Monel valves ? Monel valves are made from white copper-nickel alloy, which is much harder then the normal stainless steel pistons found in cheaper trumpets, and it is also acid and corrosive resistant, meaning your valves will last ! These valves are precision ground and hand lapped for silent action.

Cupronickel Tuning Pipe

Why have a cupronickel tuning pipe ? Cupronickel, is an alloy, 75% copper, and 25% nickel. This is a much harder metal, and will resist dents, so your trumpet will stay in tune, improves the tone, and resist tarnishing.
